And the party continues !


Cake number 2 was presented to me completey by surprise at my twin niece and nephews Holy Communion party. The "Fraise", a french strawberry and creme patissiere masterpiece was created by my cousin Iseult from thecakestand.ie, which made it even more special. It sat beside my nephews Aston Martin Bond cake and my nieces very sophisticated Chocolate creation. They really were spectacular and devoured. All that is left today is the bonnet of the Aston Martin !Iseult's cupcakes completed the beautiful new cake stand I got from my birthday from one of my oldest friends...a truly bake-tacular birthday !

Yesterday I announced the the KOK's that I would be running the Judge 6K naked. By naked I meant I was going to leave my smartphone with it's running app in my car, not have it strapped to my arm advising me of every kilometer done, telling me my average speed and generally annoying me. Hunky Dory.....NOT !

It was definitely the crisps ! This is the story of a girl who will NEVER eat the green Hunky Dorys EVER AGAIN ! The poor girl ( poetic license) thought last Friday night would be a straightforward evening of chat, dancing, fun at the evening of her first cousins wedding, but it didn't exactly turn out, as she thought it would. Of course The Mad One and the FIS ( fluent Irish speaker) set the wheels in motion, when they met in Lidl and decided that the men were to be left at home, and it would be a girls night out. Again The Mad One compounded matters when she offered to drive and collect the poor girl from her home on Friday evening to make the 90 minute trip to the hotel. On the way, the crack was mighty, but being three women in a car, there had to be a loo and coffee stop, at which point FIS showed her true Irish roots, bu arriving back into the car with a selection of snacks "for the journey home". Fat Friends

The key to looking slim is hanging around with people who are fatter than you are.I kinda forget this and have failed to make myself look any better due to the fact that those I am most often seen with are all smaller than I. I am not suggesting that I hang around with a bunch of supermodels ( they will not be offended by this). I try to hang with the "built for comfort not for speed" type but the FA has let me down badly a) by turning into a slim person and b) by introducing an even slimmer Sparkle to the group !
