When 7 inches is too much !


OK so I measured it. I had been wondering for some time just how big it was. I should really have measured it when we first got married, but you're in love, you feel fabulous and it does not seem important...how wrong I was ! There were times I looked at it and imagined it bigger or smaller, depending on the angle you were looking at it. I knew it was bigger than most, but tried to keep that at the back of my mind. Last week, unable to look at it, unmeasured, any more, I finally took out the tape measure and set to finding out exactly what I was dealing with.....7 inches .....far far far too much for any woman ! Nowhere near normal .It was beginning to feel tight and leave it's mark. It was no longer comfortable and I could not just continue to accept it.GASP had said nothing but I know it was affecting him too. Something has to be done about my waist ....7 whole inches above the recommended 32 inches!

No, I have not lost all reason, but yes , this weekend I cooked the Cambodian National Dish, Samlor Korko. You see, the Mad One had sent me a text some days ago, boasting about teh fact that she ahd just served Samlor Korko to the Spud farmer, and that he had been so delighted by it, he remained silent throughout it's consumption. HOT THING !

Last night I recreated a scene from a movie. I know that you , understandably, are thinking " Chariots of Fire" or Rocky running up the steps, "The Long Run" or "Endurance ", but you would be wrong. Before I set out for C25K last night I gathered my running gear, only to find that my cropped support sports top/bra which I wear over my control bra, was in the wash....what to do? I noted the bad weather and decided to take out a long forgotten elasticated vest top, which was very snug in nature, so, in my opinion, perfect for the job of keeping the puppies in check...It was ! I started out on my 10 ( yes 10!) minute run and offended no-one with my chest, although I did cop the Golfing Rumpsteak trying to look ! Hunky Dory.....NOT !

It was definitely the crisps ! This is the story of a girl who will NEVER eat the green Hunky Dorys EVER AGAIN ! The poor girl ( poetic license) thought last Friday night would be a straightforward evening of chat, dancing, fun at the evening of her first cousins wedding, but it didn't exactly turn out, as she thought it would. Of course The Mad One and the FIS ( fluent Irish speaker) set the wheels in motion, when they met in Lidl and decided that the men were to be left at home, and it would be a girls night out. Again The Mad One compounded matters when she offered to drive and collect the poor girl from her home on Friday evening to make the 90 minute trip to the hotel. On the way, the crack was mighty, but being three women in a car, there had to be a loo and coffee stop, at which point FIS showed her true Irish roots, bu arriving back into the car with a selection of snacks "for the journey home".
