Oooh er missus !

" If you have removed your undergarments I will be round in 15 minutes " Fact 1.These are the actual words of a text I received yesterday Fact 2. I did not receive this text from my husband Fact 3. It was from a man Fact 4. He did come round 15 minutes later . . . .to see my Shiela's Maid Now, interestingly enough, Newly (not so) single was round a the time. She is the person who introduced me to the concept of suspending a Shielas Maid clothes drier from my utility room ceiling, so that my smalls would waft above me, instead of staring me straight in the eye ,on the inside line. I say "waft" as if they are small and flimsy enough to "waft" but that is in fact a severe case of poetic license, as my smalls ( larges) give the impression of someone having parachuted into the utility room, their chute having got caught just before they crashed to the floor ! Newly single and I greeted the Chicken Man on his arrival and I confirmed to him that I had removed...

Ok,so foodiemama or not there are days when you just want a McDonalds...yes, I've said it !I have been a fan of the big yellow M ever since it opened it's first store in Dublin and BMM and Fat Freddie took us for a treat.The first thing I ever ordered was a Fillet'O'Fish but mine was actually raw in the middle so had to be sent back...the only time I have ever sent anything back in McD's. From then on I ate the Big Mac meal religiously until the Mc Chicken Sandwich arrived and I quickly converted.When pregnant with eldest son I craved the strawberyy milkshake...well I declared it a craving but truthfully I just loved them. On both occasions I was in hopsital after childbirth GASP brought me in Mc'D's and I loved him for it !Whereever we are in the world we always visit Mc Donalds once, Paris, Barcelona,New York ( where there was a guy playing a grand piano!)Eldest son is a huge fan of the chicken mc nugget Happy Meal and today was no exception. Super Salad

The FA joined me on Saturday when GASP had chosen GAA over an evening in with woty....imagine ! Mond you he had just spent a week with me on holidays so deserved a break. The cupboard was well and truly bare, having not got around to the post hols shop so I was under pressure to produce a meal for someone who is a gourmet foodie. Thank God for GASP, as I strolled out to the garden to find large dew covered lettuces, vibrant green spinach and some scallions. I had managed to pick up a cooked chicken that lunchtime so I raided the bottom drawers of the fridge and the larder cupboard and managed to bring together the best salad I have ever made. I washed the lettuce and spinach and tore them roughly into the huge Nicholas Mosse bowl we got as a wedding present. I added the chopped scallions, some halved cherry tomatoes, the last 3 inches of cucumber and some sunflower seeds. I found a jar of artichoke hearts in oil, which I had bought some time ago in Aldi, drained them and added them on ...
