Who let the dogs out ?

I got to thinking about my fellow KOK's and how well we get on, how much we enjoy each others company, how supportive we are to each other, yet all different. I realised that, although different, we have traits which compliment each other. It got me to pondering that we are like different animals and the sight of a Chihuahua in a tutu this morning made me realise just what we would be if we were, in fact, doggies.
Transformation Tracey for instance is a Golden Retriever - Reliable, Kind, Friendly and Trustworthy
Trotting Teresa is a Terrier - Small, Active, Wiry and Fearless
Fluffy Duffy is a silky elegant Afghan Hound, Happy Dignified and Independent
Twinkletoes is the Chihuahua of the bunch - Lively, Devoted, Courageous and Quick ..she will be once the cast is off !
Mighty Martha is a Schnauzer -Spirited, Fearless and apparently Trainable ? Shut that door behind you !
M.I.L.F. is a Cocker Spaniel - Playful, Faithful, Affectionate and Quiet...sometimes !
Cantering Clare is a Beagle - Excitable, Amiable, Determined and Gentle
Kamakaze Kerr is a Border Collie - Energetic, Tenacious and Responsive...and loveable
Flyer Maguire is a German Shepard - Watchful, Alert, Obedient and Courageous
Swivelling Sharon is a Shih Tzu...........Lively, Outgoing, Playful and Alert

I am without doubt a Labrador. I am trusting, outgoing, stubborn, even tempered ( GASP would disagree with this one !) kind and I have to add intelligent....as well as lazy, love a bit of luxury and a bit arthritic in the hips. I know that this bunch of canines are fun to roam the town with, can be hormonally challenged and could well take of after an attractive male, but ultimately will defend me, support me, stay loyal to me and hopefully not want to sniff my bottom ! Woman's best friend.

Running Naked !

Yesterday I announced the the KOK's that I would be running the Judge 6K naked. By naked I meant I was going to leave my smartphone with it's running app in my car, not have it strapped to my arm advising me of every kilometer done, telling me my average speed and generally annoying me. This, of course got us to talking about actual naked running and wondering if naked runs exist and the difficulties we larger ladies would have. I set my mind to finding out all I could. It appears there is quite a naked running following, particularly, of course, in the old USA. The favourite one is the Caliente Dare to Bare 5k , which has the added advantage of a day long pool party to help you recover. Fat Friends

The key to looking slim is hanging around with people who are fatter than you are.I kinda forget this and have failed to make myself look any better due to the fact that those I am most often seen with are all smaller than I. I am not suggesting that I hang around with a bunch of supermodels ( they will not be offended by this). I try to hang with the "built for comfort not for speed" type but the FA has let me down badly a) by turning into a slim person and b) by introducing an even slimmer Sparkle to the group ! And she's meant to be a friend!The Baking Queen is pregnant...thank you, the blonde declares she has put on a stone ( I am not sure but it's good of her to say) and Newly Single has a Thyroid problem...happy days !True friends ! Hunky Dory.....NOT !

It was definitely the crisps ! This is the story of a girl who will NEVER eat the green Hunky Dorys EVER AGAIN ! The poor girl ( poetic license) thought last Friday night would be a straightforward evening of chat, dancing, fun at the evening of her first cousins wedding, but it didn't exactly turn out, as she thought it would. Of course The Mad One and the FIS ( fluent Irish speaker) set the wheels in motion, when they met in Lidl and decided that the men were to be left at home, and it would be a girls night out. Again The Mad One compounded matters when she offered to drive and collect the poor girl from her home on Friday evening to make the 90 minute trip to the hotel. On the way, the crack was mighty, but being three women in a car, there had to be a loo and coffee stop, at which point FIS showed her true Irish roots, bu arriving back into the car with a selection of snacks "for the journey home".
