Weighty issues !


The picture accompanying this blog looks for all the world like a harmless bathroom scales but it is in fact the scariest new technological development to hit the planet. This bathroom scales has WiFi and as soon as you stand on it it tweets your weight to the world ! Yes it is connected automatically to Twitter, meaning to humiliate you into weight loss. Now I have stood in the queue at Weightwatchers,appreciating the distance between the top of the line and the scales, and the fact that non one needs to know your weight except you. Imagine stepping forward to the Twitter scales, knowing that instantaneously the whole world will know your weight....hell on Earth !Next thing you know your fridge door will be connected to the world wide web and will let everyone know if you opened it and what you took out, your bin will webcast its contents, your drinks cabinet will be connected to Skype !!!!!As a blogger I am aware that I share information readily but even I have secrets which will never end up in print....not if I have anything to do with it......the sex tape is a fake !

Running Naked !

Yesterday I announced the the KOK's that I would be running the Judge 6K naked. By naked I meant I was going to leave my smartphone with it's running app in my car, not have it strapped to my arm advising me of every kilometer done, telling me my average speed and generally annoying me. Fat Friends

The key to looking slim is hanging around with people who are fatter than you are.I kinda forget this and have failed to make myself look any better due to the fact that those I am most often seen with are all smaller than I. I am not suggesting that I hang around with a bunch of supermodels ( they will not be offended by this). I try to hang with the "built for comfort not for speed" type but the FA has let me down badly a) by turning into a slim person and b) by introducing an even slimmer Sparkle to the group ! And she's meant to be a friend!The Baking Queen is pregnant...thank you, the blonde declares she has put on a stone ( I am not sure but it's good of her to say) and Newly Single has a Thyroid problem...happy days !True friends ! Hunky Dory.....NOT !

It was definitely the crisps ! This is the story of a girl who will NEVER eat the green Hunky Dorys EVER AGAIN ! The poor girl ( poetic license) thought last Friday night would be a straightforward evening of chat, dancing, fun at the evening of her first cousins wedding, but it didn't exactly turn out, as she thought it would. Of course The Mad One and the FIS ( fluent Irish speaker) set the wheels in motion, when they met in Lidl and decided that the men were to be left at home, and it would be a girls night out. Again The Mad One compounded matters when she offered to drive and collect the poor girl from her home on Friday evening to make the 90 minute trip to the hotel. On the way, the crack was mighty, but being three women in a car, there had to be a loo and coffee stop, at which point FIS showed her true Irish roots, bu arriving back into the car with a selection of snacks "for the journey home".
