Green !

There is no need to be envious of us right at this moment. Ok so our holiday home is fab, the location perfect, the island idyllic, the beds comfortable and the weather great....big deal ! Waterford delivers every time. Mind you the techno moron in me has been asked to deliver. First, I had to work out how to open the front door of our lodge on Waterford Castle Island. I know I was told to just hold the card in front of the door and the light would go green but I did have a couple of dud attempts before the front door swung open on our ultra modern home for the week. Now we live in a standard bungalow at home but now I am faced with flat screen tv, Neff kitchen, Miele appliances, Smeg fridge and a wall mounted gas fireplace thing with a remote control ! Blimey ! There is apparantly a non touch system for something in the bathrooms but it is obviusly not the lights as I sat in the pitch dark on the loo this morning waving like a US fan at the world cup !Eldest son is entrhalled that his bedroom has it's own bathroom and balcony, so he had to change into a shirt immediately on arriving to show due respect to his surroundings...not sure he will be keen to leave next Saturday !Hubby noteed with grat distress that there is no RTE on the TV, justs 100 other channels so is in a state at the prospect that he won't get to see the Sunday game tonight. He is still in bed however while wife of the year (woty) has established that it will be shown in the club house next door this evening so I will send him off in ecstacy not realising that I will get pay back again and again over the course of the holiday....mostly in food tokens !I will aslo get the lie in tomorrow morning ! x

Yesterday I announced the the KOK's that I would be running the Judge 6K naked. By naked I meant I was going to leave my smartphone with it's running app in my car, not have it strapped to my arm advising me of every kilometer done, telling me my average speed and generally annoying me. Fat Friends

The key to looking slim is hanging around with people who are fatter than you are.I kinda forget this and have failed to make myself look any better due to the fact that those I am most often seen with are all smaller than I. I am not suggesting that I hang around with a bunch of supermodels ( they will not be offended by this). I try to hang with the "built for comfort not for speed" type but the FA has let me down badly a) by turning into a slim person and b) by introducing an even slimmer Sparkle to the group ! And she's meant to be a friend!The Baking Queen is pregnant...thank you, the blonde declares she has put on a stone ( I am not sure but it's good of her to say) and Newly Single has a Thyroid problem...happy days !True friends ! Hunky Dory.....NOT !

It was definitely the crisps ! This is the story of a girl who will NEVER eat the green Hunky Dorys EVER AGAIN ! The poor girl ( poetic license) thought last Friday night would be a straightforward evening of chat, dancing, fun at the evening of her first cousins wedding, but it didn't exactly turn out, as she thought it would. Of course The Mad One and the FIS ( fluent Irish speaker) set the wheels in motion, when they met in Lidl and decided that the men were to be left at home, and it would be a girls night out. Again The Mad One compounded matters when she offered to drive and collect the poor girl from her home on Friday evening to make the 90 minute trip to the hotel. On the way, the crack was mighty, but being three women in a car, there had to be a loo and coffee stop, at which point FIS showed her true Irish roots, bu arriving back into the car with a selection of snacks "for the journey home".
